Description

Bile Esculin Azide HiCynth™ Agar is used for selective isolation and presumptive identification of faecal Streptococci. It aids in differentiation amongst Enterobacteriaceae such as Klebsiella, Enterobacter, Serratia from other genera on the basis of esculin hydrolysis. This medium is prepared using chemically defined peptones to avoid BSE/TSE risks associated with animal peptones.
