This medium is recommended for simultaneous detection of Salmonella, Vibrio species and Escherichia coli from water samples. kit contains (i) Part A Medium Powder (ii) Part B Medium Powder (iii) 2 sterile bottles, It is supplied in two parts Medium A and Medium B , Medium A is for detection of Escherichia coli, Salmonella and Citrobacter species. Medium B is for detection of Vibrio species. Salmonella, Citrobacter gives black colouration to medium due to H2S production, Escherichia coli gives yellow colour to medium with turbidity, Vibrio cholerae gives dark burgundy colour and Vibrio parahaemolyticus gives red colour to medium ,Qualitative test
