This medium is recommended for the selection and subculture of Staphylococcus aureus in accordance with the harmonized method of USP/EP/BP/JP/IP. It is based on Mannitol fermentation with phenol red as indicator. High salt concentration inhibits other bacteria. Recommended for Microbial Limit Test (MLT).
