HM Peptone Type P is processed under controlled conditions to retain all nutritive values. It is obtained by proteolytic activity of Pepsin. It yields heavy growth of fastidious microorganisms when used in nutrient and differential media. It is also recommended for industrial fermentation studies and production of antibiotics, secondary metabolites, enzymes etc. It is equivalent to Meat Peptone Type P.
