Thiol HiVeg™ Broth is used for cultivation of organisms from body fluids and other materials containing Penicillin, Streptomycin and Sulphonamides. It is also used for the cultivation and maintenance of Haemophilus, Vibrio and Meningococci, also recommended for growing anaerobic bacteria in blood cultures and for recovery of nutritionally variant Streptococci and Bacteriodes. This medium is prepared by replacing animal peptones with vegetable defined peptones to avoid BSE/TSE/GMO risk.
