Schaedler HiVeg™ Broth is recommended for cultivation of wide variety of microorganisms particularly from anaerobic blood cultures. This medium is be most effective medium for the growth of obligately anaerobic bacteria in an atmosphere of 5% carbon dioxide, hydrogen and 85% Nitrogen. It can also be used to determine antibiotics MIC levels of anaerobic organisms. Schaedler HiVeg™ Broth is prepared by using vegetable peptones in place of animal based peptones which make the media free of BSE/TSE risks.
