SDS HiVeg™ Agar Base (Sodium Dodecyl Sulphate Polymixin Sucrose HiVeg™ Agar Base) is recommended for enrichment, isolation and enumeration of Vibrio vulnificus from seafood samples in accordance with APHA.Hiveg media is formulated is formulated as described by Bryant et al for isolation and enumeration of V. vulnificus from sea food and for differentiation of V. vulnificus from other Vibrio in accordance with APHA. This medium is prepared by replacing animal peptones with vegetable defined peptones to avoid BSE/TSE/GMO risk.
