Tris is the common name of tris (hydroxymethyl) aminomethane. It is a primary amine and is effective as a buffer in the pH range between 7.0 and 9.2. Tris does not precipitate calcium salts and maintains solubility of manganese salts. It has a low UV absorbance but strong temperature sensitivity. This buffer is supplied as 1M.1M Tris-Cl, pH 6.4 is a concentrated buffering solution used to maintain specific acidic conditions in biochemical environments. This Tris Buffer facilitates precise Hydrogen Ion control for PH Stabilization during any professional Molecular Protein Crystallization Study and reagent preparation.
Primary amine effective as a buffer sonsisting of 1M Tris. It has a pre-adjusted pH of 6.4 with varing applications including nucleic acid purification. It is also used for preparating buffer solutions, e.g. Tris-EDTA buffer, Tris-acetate EDTA buffer, Tris-borate EDTA buffer, Tris-buffered saline etc.
