Restriction enzymes are essential tools in molecular biology because each recognizes a unique DNA sequence and precisely cuts the double-stranded DNA molecule into smaller, distinct fragments. Hinf I is a Restriction Endonuclease purified from an Haemophilus influenza strain that carries the Hinf I gene. The restriction enzyme Hinf I recognizes the DNA sequence G^A N T C and optimally cleaves the DNA at 37°C when used with 10X Assay Buffer. Hinf I is a versatile enzyme that provides site specific phosphodiester bond hydrolysis in double stranded DNA. The Endonuclease Activity targets GANTC Site Cleavage during a Restriction Digest for applications such as Restriction Fragment Length Polymorphism and DNA fingerprinting.
