Hi-PCR® Klebsiella pneumoniae Semi-Q PCR Kit

Klebsiella pneumoniae causes urinary tract infections, nosocomial pneumonia and intra-abdominal infections. It was necessary to develop simple and reproducible diagnostic tools to detect these pathogens. The majority of infections are of epidemic origin, and treatment has become difficult because many strains are resistant to a wide range of antibiotics, including broad-spectrum b-lactams, aminoglycosides and fluoroquinolones. Hi-PCR® Klebsiella pneumoniae Semi-Q PCR Kit is a qualitative conventional PCR kit which allows the amplification of a unique gene sequence in K. pneumoniae that can be confirmed by agarose gel electrophoresis.
