Hi-PCR® Methicillin Resistant Staphylococcus aureus (MRSA) Semi-Q PCR Kit (Uniplex)

Nosocomial transmission of Methicillin Resistant Staphylococcus aureus (MRSA) has increased dramatically in the last few years. Quick and reliable methods are required to diagnose and prevent transmission of the resistance gene. The Hi-PCR® Methicillin Resistant Staphylococcus aureus (MRSA) Semi-Q PCR Kit is designed for detection of Staphylococcus aureus (MRSA) by Polymerase Chain Reaction (PCR) method. The MRSA produces penicillin binding protein which is coded by mecA gene. Thus, mecA gene can be used for detection of DNA sequence specific for MRSA.
