The Hi‐ PCR® Vibrio cholerae Semi‐Q PCR Kit is designed for detection of the target region specific to Vibrio cholera (297 bp) in various food sources, cells, environmental and clinical samples. Conventional PCR testing can provide rapid, sensitive and specific detection of V. cholerae. This kit also contains Internal control and Positive control. Hi-PCR® Vibrio cholerae Semi-Q PCR Kit identifies the DNA of toxigenic strains in water and clinical specimens. The Semi-Q PCR format uses Enterotoxin Gene Detection to perform a Cholera Test for Environmental Pathogen Molecular Tracking.
There are two major types of V.cholerae identified by hemagglutination testing, classical and El Tor, and many serogroups. Cholera is usually transmitted through the fecal-oral route. In situations where poor environmental sanitation is coupled with poor domestic and personal hygiene, transmission of cholera is a result of fecal contamination of drinking water. Conventional PCR testing can provide rapid, sensitive and specific detection of V. cholerae. The Hi-PCR® Vibrio cholerae Semi-Q PCR Kit is designed for detection of the specific sequence of Vibrio cholerae gene from various food sources, cells, environmental and clinical samples.
