Recommended for detecting gelatin liquefaction and hydrogen sulphide production.

Gelatin Iron Agar is recommended for detecting gelatin liquefaction and hydrogen sulphide production.Gelatin acts as solidifying agent and is the substrate for the organisms producing gelatinase enzyme.
