The HiPer® GST Purification Teaching Kit is based on the affinity of GST protein to immobilized glutathione and is used for purification of GST tagged protein of interest. In this technique, a mixture of proteins is added to matrix, the protein of interest (tagged to GST) binds to the glutathione ligand and is eluted by treating it with reduced glutathione (free). The purification can be checked by electrophoresing the eluted fraction on SDS-PAGE.
