Hi-PCR® Human DNA Quantification Kit

The Hi-PCR® Human DNA Quantification Kit was developed to assess total human DNA, human male DNA, DNA degradation, and/or PCR inhibitors in forensic samples. The assay utilizes two human DNA targets, one to quantify human DNA and the other to assess the integrity (degradation index) of the genomic DNA. In addition to these two targets, a human male target to quantify human male DNA and an exogenous synthetic DNA template as an internal reaction control (IRC) for the assessment of PCR inhibition are included in the kit. These fourtargets provide a forensic DNA analyst meaningful information about the quantity and quality of the isolated human genomic DNA and the presence of PCR inhibitors in the sample that can be used to determine the most effective workflow and assist downstream interpretation.
