This granulated medium is recommended for the selective enrichment of Escherichia coli from pharmaceutical products in accordance with the microbial limit testing by harmonized methodology of USP/EP/BP/JP. BCP is more sensitive in recording pH variation in the medium. Composition complies with specifications in Chapter 62 Microbiological Examination of Nonsterile Products: Tests for Specified microorganisms.
