The Hi-PCR® Vibrio cholerae Semi-Q PCR Kit is designed for detection of the specific sequence of Vibrio cholerae gene from various food sources, cells, environmental and clinical samples.
There are two major types of V.cholerae identified by hemagglutination testing, classical and El Tor, and many serogroups. Cholera is usually transmitted through the fecal-oral route. In situations where poor environmental sanitation is coupled with poor domestic and personal hygiene, transmission of cholera is a result of fecal contamination of drinking water. Conventional PCR testing can provide rapid, sensitive and specific detection of V. cholerae. The Hi-PCR® Vibrio cholerae Semi-Q PCR Kit is designed for detection of the specific sequence of Vibrio cholerae gene from various food sources, cells, environmental and clinical samples.
