Endo HiVeg™ Agar, Modified is recommended for detection and isolation of coliforms and other enteric organisms. Hiveg media used to differentiate gram-negative bacteria on the basis of lactose fermentation, while inhibiting gram-positive bacteria and to isolate the typhoid bacilli. This medium is prepared by replacing animal peptones with vegetable defined peptones to avoid BSE/TSE/GMO risk.
