5X RNA Gel Loading Buffer
The 5X RNA Loading Buffer is formulated for loading RNA samples on agarose gels. This buffer contains two tracking dyes: bromophenol blue and xylene cyanol FF. Bromophenol blue migrates faster than 5S rRNA and xylene cyanol FF migrates slower than 18S rRNA. This solution does not mask RNA in the gel during exposure to UV light. This dye solution contains the denaturing agent formamide and as a result all the RNA samples are separated according to their size. Moreover, formamide stabilizes the RNA
