Lin's Cupric Sulfate Medium is recommended as a differential medium for the detection of wild yeasts. This medium suppressed the growth of culture yeasts and supported that of most non-Saccharomyces wild yeasts. Cupric sulphate in the medium suppresses culture yeast.
