HiPer® Immunoprecipitation Teaching Kit demonstrates the technique of immunoprecipitation where an antigen is incubated with its specific antibody and the antigen-antibody complex is precipitated by Protein A sepharose beads followed by analysis on SDS-PAGE.
It demonstrates the purification of a specific protein from a complex mixture using immune complexes. The system utilizes Antibody Resin Binding for Antigen Isolation during Immunoprecipitation and Proteomics Research Training.
HiPer® Immunoprecipitation Teaching Kit can be used to performe the technique of immunoprecipitation which involves the precipitation of the antigen-antibody complex by Protein A beads. In this technique, a protein or antigen is precipitated out
of a solution using an antibody that specifically binds to that antigen using Protein G or A. During this procedure the Protein G or A coupled agarose beads bind to the antibody-antigen complex and the complex is precipitated and removed from the solution by centrifugation of the beads. Finally, the protein complex is eluted out from the beads and verified by SDS-PAGE and immunoblotting
