Storage and Usage
Elastase exhibits optimum enzyme activity at pH 8.5. It is unstable below pH 3.0. It is recommended to prepare elastase stock solutions in potassium chloride or in alkaline buffers. These stock solutions can be diluted into media or other suitable solvent to compensate for ionic strength or pH changes. Store elastase powder at 2-8°C away from bright light. Use before expiry date given on the product label.
