HiPurA® Mycobacterium tuberculosis DNA Purification Kit provides a fast and easy method for purification of DNA from Mycobacterium spp. using the miniprep spin columns. The kit utilizes an advanced silica-based membrane technology in the form of a convenient spin column The kit utilizes an advanced silica-based membrane technology in the form of a convenient spin column facilitating the binding, washing and elution steps thus enabling multiple samples to be processed simultaneously. It comprises of three steps viz, adsorption of DNA to the membrane, removal of residual contaminants and elution of pure genomic DNA. Concentration of DNA can be estimated by agarose gel electrophoresis. Typical DNA yield is upto 20 µg from 5 ml cell culture, 20-30 mg tissue, 1ml decontaminated sputum.
