CleriGel™ is a naturally derived gelling polymer (gellan gum) produced by the microbial fermentation of bacterium Pseudomonas elodea. It is composed of glucuronic acid, rhamnose along with glucose.
- Forms a clear transparent gel with high gel strength
- Gels at a relatively low concentration and facilitates light microscopic analyses of the cells and tissues
- Detects microbial contamination easily and aids in studying phenotypic characteristics of the in vitro root development
- Devoid of impurities like phenolic, organic compound and inorganic salts which are generally present in Agar
- Gels uniformly and faster as compared to Agar
- Forms a firm transparent gel on cooling and can be used in the concentration of 2-3 g/L
