HiPurA® Fast MTB (Mycobacterium tuberculosis) Genomic DNA Purification Kit provides a fast and easy method for purification of total DNA from Myccobacterium spp. using the miniprep spin columns. The kit utilizes an advanced silica-based membrane technology in the form of a convenient spin column. It comprises of three steps viz. adsorption of DNA to the membrane, removal of residual contaminants and elution of pure genomic DNA. Concentration of DNA can be estimated by agarose gel electrophoresis. Typical DNA yield is upto 20 µg from 5 ml cell culture, 20-30 mg tissue, 1ml decontaminated sputum.
