Complete Supplement Mixture w/o ARG-HIS is used as a dropout supplement for all strains of Saccharomyces cerevisiae.

Directions
Suspend 720 mg in 1000 ml distilled water. Sterilize by autoclaving at 10 lbs pressure (115°C) for 20 minutes. Mix well and dispense as desired.
Principle and Interpretation
Complete Supplement Mixture w/o ARG-HIS is used as a dropout supplement for all strains of Saccharomyces cerevisiae. Complete Supplement Mixture (CSM) is composed of all the amino acids required for the vigorous growth of Saccharomyces cerevisiae. CSM w/o ARG-HIS does not contain argenine and histidine. This makes it a double dropout growth medium for yeast cells. It can be mixed with yeast nitrogen base (YNB), ammonium sulphate and an appropriate carbon source (glucose/galactose/raffinose).
Quality Control
Appearance of Powder: White to light yellow coloured, homogeneous, free flowing powder.
Colour and Clarity: Colourless to pale yellow coloured, clear solution without any precipitate.
Growth Promoting Properties
Cultural Response: Cultural characteristics observed after an incubation at 25-30°C for 18 - 48 hours.

Storage and Shelf-life
Store below 30°C in tightly closed container and the prepared medium at 2 - 8°C. Use before expiry date on the label.
