CF021
CF021 is recombinant murine VEGF expressed in E. coli, filtered through 0.22μ membrane filter and lyophilized from 20mM acetic. It stimulates proliferation and survival of endothelial cells and promotes angiogenesis and vascular permeability.

Murine Vascular Endothelial Growth Factor (VEGF) is a disulfide linked homo-dimeric glycoprotein. It is a potent growth and angiogenic cytokine. It exerts its effect via 2 high affinity binding receptors VEGFR-1 and VEGFR-2. These receptors are expressed exclusively on endothelial cells. It stimulates proliferation and survival of endothelial cells and promotes angiogenesis and vascular permeability. VEGF has been shown to have a very profound mitogenic effect on cultured endothelial cells. It also promotes endothelial cell migration and sprouting and can be used as a component of growth medium for endothelial cell culturing.
