10X TBST (Tris buffered saline with Tween-20® ) solution is extensively used in several molecular biological and immunological experiments. This product is supplied as a 10X stock and has to be diluted to 1X with deionized or distilled water (one part 10X TBST and nine parts of water).

10X TBST is Tris buffered saline (TBS) solution with the detergent Tween-20® and is mainly used as a wash buffer for immunohistochemical staining and in situ hybridization procedures as it reduces nonspecific background staining. It contains 100 mM Tris, 1.5 M Sodium chloride and 0.5% Tween 20®. It is commonly used as a wash solution for western blot membranes and microtiter plate wells in ELISA assays.
