HiMedia’s Hi-PCR® Hemorrhagic Septicemia (HS) Probe PCR Kit is designed to detect the manganese-dependent superoxide dismutase gene (sodA gene) of P. multocida in FAM channel and Internal Control in JOE channel in a single tube reaction. The kit allows sensitive and specific detection of P. multocida in a single tube reaction
Hemorrhagic septicemia (HS) is an acute, fatal, septicemic disease of cattle and water buffaloes caused by certain serotypes of a gram?negative bacterium Pasteurella multocida. In India, during the past four decades,it has been found that HS accounted for 46–55% of all bovine deaths. The diagnosis of HS depends on the isolation of the causative organism, P. multocida, by cultural and biological methods, and the identification of
the organism by biochemical, serological and molecular methods. HiMedia’s Hi-PCR®
