Hi-PCR® Theileria Probe PCR Kit is designed to detect the 18S ribosomal RNA gene and Internal Control in a single tube reaction. The kit allows rapid, sensitive and specific detection of Theileria spps
Theileriosis is a disease caused by a species of Theileria a blood-borne protozoal pathogen which resides within the lymphocytes and macrophages of animals. It mainly affects cattle and is primarily transmitted by ticks . It causes anaemia in cattle and can sometimes be fatal. Cattle are at risk of infection when moved to areas where infected ticks are present. Likewise, if transported, it can spread the disease to uninfected animals. The advent of molecular diagnostic tests like polymerase chain reaction (PCR) has paved the way to efficient diagnosis than the conventional techniques. Hi-PCR® Theileria Probe PCR Kit is designed to detect the 18S ribosomal RNA gene and Internal Control in a single tube reaction. The kit allows rapid, sensitive and specific detection of Theileria spps
