Brucellosis is an infectious disease caused by bacteria of genus Brucella. Brucellosis is a zoonotic infection. General symptoms of brucellosis may include- Fever, body-wide aches and pains, poor appetite and weight loss. Aborted fetuses, placental membranes or fluids, and other vaginal discharges present after an infected animal has aborted or calved are all highly contaminated with infectious Brucella organisms.
